Several case studies are now available on the ForestWorks website. They provide insight into the benefits that the Training and Skills Development Service has provided to organisations in the Tasmanian forest industry.

Some examples of training accessed through this service include courses in drone technologies and applications, assessment in Fire Weather Evaluation and Trim and Cut Harvested Trees; and training in the Tasmanian forest practices system. Funding has also been sought for a purpose-built, pre-employment pilot program.

The Training and Skills Development Service Guidelines are available on the ForestWorks website. If your project falls slightly outside the guidelines, but is of clear benefit to the Tasmanian Timber and Forest Industry, it may still be approved. An example of this was the approval of 18 harvest and haulage workers to undertake Provide First Aid – HLTAID003 with St John Ambulance Tasmania.  If you are interested in finding out more, contact the TSDS Project Team on tsds@forestworks.com.au or call 03 6331 6077.
