ForestWorks is proud to support this year’s ACE and AFIA furniture design awards.

Two key awards on the furnishing industry calendar, both awards are managed by the Australian Furniture Association.

The winners for both awards will be announced at the Australian Furniture Industry Awards Gala Cocktail Event on Saturday 9 July 2016 at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre, Queensland.

Australian Contemporary Emerging (ACE) Design Awards

The future of Australian furniture design lies in the hands of students and emerging designers.

The Australian Contemporary Emerging (ACE) Design Awards reflect the vision ofFURNITEX & design and are open to students and emerging designers from all fields related to the furniture industry. Each design will be represented at the FURNITEX & design exhibition from the 8th to the 10th of July 2016 in Brisbane.

In 2016, Award Winners will be offered exhibition space at the AFA’s International Pavilions as part of an Australian Trade Mission abroad.

Nominations are open to AFA Members and non-members in all states and territories in Australia.

Australian Furnishing Industry Awards (AFIA)

The annual Australian Furniture Industry Awards represent a tremendous opportunity for all sectors of the furniture industry to engage in a collaborative way to put the Australian Furniture Industry on the world map! Award categories are as follows:

~ Product Awards 2016 (Winners of the product categories will be offered the opportunity to have their pieces exhibited in Shanghai as part of the Australian International Pavilions Trade Mission)

~ Industry Master Award 2016

~ Supplier of the Year 2016

~ Retailer of the Year 2016

AFIA product entries will be on public display as part of the FURNITEX & designexhibition in Brisbane 8-10 July 2016 and winners will be offered an opportunity to exhibit in the Australian International Pavilion in Shanghai later this year.
