The Institute of Foresters of Australia (IFA), on behalf of Forest & Wood Products Australia(FWPA), is inviting early career professionals to attend the “For Our Future – Regional Forestry Collaborative Leadership Program“, as part of the professional development activities of the Young Forestry Leadership Initiative.
The Pilot program will run from March until June 2018, offering professional-level leadership development to industry participants.
Participants will be expected to attend nine workshop days, plus deliver pre-work and group projects. This significant commitment of individual and employer time reflects the value and stature of the program and its anticipated outcomes. The IFA is offering to fund up to 5 registrations ($1,000.00 each) to the Program and FWPA will be providing accomodation to participants.
Selected participants will be expected to write a report to the IFA Newsletter & The Forester, which may be used in other IFA media.
To be successful, you must be an IFA member and be 35 years old or younger. It is also important that you have demonstrated professioanal experience in the forest and/or wood products industries. Candidates will be assessed by the IFA Scholarship Committee.
