ForestWorks will be presenting at the NSW ITAB Roadshow in Port Macquarie on Thursday 6 September, in conjunction with a number of other NSW Industry Training Advisory Bodies (ITABs).
ForestWorks is currently the NSW ITAB for Forestry & Furnishing trades, ranging from forest growing and management through to sawmilling and even to timber truss & frame manufacture, wood machining and cabinetmaking. We collaborate with other ITAB industries on generic issues that affect apprenticeships and traineeships.
Some of the functions of the ITABs are to bridge the gap between schools, employers and training providers and also advocate for vocational education and training.
The event is expected to see over thirty people from local schools, including careers advisors in attendance, and up to 50 employers represented.
ForestWorks may potentially conduct other roadshow events in northern NSW later in 2018 and the South Coast of NSW in early 2019.
