Training is still an issue for the Frame and Truss sector with the need for training in basic skills for plan reading. There is also a skills gap in the area related to loading as there are still accidents in this area of work. There is a further need to address the impact of steel as a competitor with the forest and wood products industry as it cuts across the whole vertically integrated supply chain.
