Women in the industry gathered on Tuesday 28 February in support of women who work in the forest, fibre and wood products industry in the Heyfield region. The event was organised by the Victorian Association of Forest Industries (VAFI), on behalf of the WFTN.

The lunch saw 30 women share stories and network in a relaxed environment, enjoying lunch thanks to event sponsor, First Super. The women in attendance heard from Wellington Shire Council representative, Councillor Gayle Maher, the CFMEU, and were thanked for the work they do, in what is a time of uncertainty for many in the industry.

The Women in Forests and Timber Network (WFTN) is a forum for women in our industry to meet, exchange ideas and ensure female voices are heard. Read more about the WFTN here.
